Who we are

AEGIS comes from Greek mythology, where the aegis was the shield of Zeus. At AEGIS European Defense Observatory, we repudiate war as a means of resolving international disputes. We support investment in defense because we believe that protecting European citizens and Europe itself requires building a shield against external aggression.
